I am looking at a 1952 Model 94 and noticed the link protrudes about 3/32” and is not flush with the frame when the lever is closed. Is this normal? What could cause this? I have a 1940, 1951 and 1956 model 94’s, all of these the link is flush with the frame. The sides of the hammer are also a plume color which makes me think someone has reblued/replaced the hammer. Any thoughts?

Admin, could you move this post to the repair and maintenance forum? Thanks.

Is the locking bolt low in the frame also?

The link plunger or spring might be worn and not holding the link up. Depending on the final polishing some 94s do not have quite an even fit, but the rear end of the link should be pretty much flush with the frame lower tang.
