Hi, relatively new to the forum but many year Winchester collector.

Anyone notice a fair amount of play in the lever of their M94? Is this kind of the nature of the beast, or does anyone know of a fix? I’ve done a lot of amateur gunsmithing over the years but kind of at a loss on this. If it’s normal I’m good with it but if there’s a fix I may try to do it.

Thanks very much for any responses!

Lee,

Slop in a Post-1963 production Model 94 is normal.

Thanks Bert! I kind of thought as much but I’m a little surprised since this looks to be an FN built rifle.

But thanks!

Lee,

FN did not manufacture any of the Winchester Model 94s.  From 1981 through March of 2006 (when the Model 94 was discontinued), they were manufactured by the U. S. Repeating Arms Company in New Haven CT.  The recent production Model 94s are manufactured in Japan.
