Hello,

I am new to the forum and just wanted to ask for gunsmith recommendations in my area (southeastern TN). I did a cursory search of the forum and did not find any obvious place to post this question, so I apologize if this question has already been answered.

Thanks in advance!

I spent a decade in the Carolinas and even attended some gunsmith courses there, and am sad to say there are few if any that have a good reputation with vintage or antique firearms that I’ve heard about.  The majority specialize in modern military and police guns.

One thing I can recommend if you continue to come up empty would be to contact the gunsmithing program at Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC.  They are likely to have the most complete list of active gunsmiths in the region, and may have specific recommendations.
