Howdy,
Long-time lurker here, and I’m hoping to get some help.
I was shooting my 1927 Winchester 94 in a lever action silhouette match today at the NRA Whittington Center when I noticed something was wrong with the gun — it would not fire nor was the hammer under any spring tension so I assumed the mainspring was broken. I pulled the stock off when I got home and, sure enough, a broken mainspring. Well I figured that I would just borrow a spring from one of my other 94’s until I could buy another one. No dice! The gun with the broken spring is also equipped with a close-coupled set trigger, so the main spring is made with some offset to allow room for the fly.
A quick internet search turned up nothing, so I’m desperately in need of a correct spring. Would anyone have idea where I can find one? I would not think they’re very common. Please, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get! Thanks very much.

Thanks very much for the link, 1873man. But that spring is for a PG gun; mine is a straight grip. They do show another set trigger mainspring that I’ll assume is for a straight grip rifle, but it shows as out of stock. I’ll phone them tomorrow to see if the correct spring will be available any time soon. Meanwhile I’ll keep looking. As a last resort it may be possible to adapt the PG version to a straight gun. Thanks again!
