It appears the ejector spring on my 1895 30-06 has broke or become very weak very fast as it will no longer eject a cartridge so need to remove the bolt to see what’s going on. My question is…..do I need to go through a complete disassembly of the rifle to remove the bolt or is there a quicker way to do it? Thanks.

Thanks for the info Bob. It was very helpful. I just drove out the pin that connects the lever to the bolt and out came the bolt. I need a new spring so will order one from Homestead. Thanks again. Greg.

I assume Homestead is a parts vendor?  Please send me their contact info for future reference.

Thanks.
