Howdy y’all,
Need a replacement front sight for an 1895 35WCF rifle. Would anyone happen to know the correct height?

I have an 1895 in 35 WCF w/ a 24″barrel and ramp front sight. I’m not sure the best way to measure it but here’s what I got with out driving the sight out.
Barrel to top of ramp rear – .146
Barrel to top of ramp front – .156
Top of ramp to top of sight – .225

My old rifle is missing the front sight, so Ill have to try finding a replacement…Since its more of a shooter than a collector, Ill see if I can find a Lyman or Marbles to approximate the height…I did determine the rear sight is a Lyman “Sporting Rear” No. 22 A…..I may try finding a blade type than can be filed down if needed…

I tried to attach a picture but realized I can no longer upload attachments……..not sure what has changed. I did update to Windows 10 recently so maybe that’s it.
You might just watch ebay for a Winchester sporting front sight of this height. I don’t buy many sights, but I do see quite a few listed there.
