Looking for front sling swivel options for my 1907 SRC. I have the one pictured above on the rear. Can this same style be attached somehow to the front?

There does not seem like much room under the forestock for a screw to go in before it hits the magazine tube.

Hello RC,

Winchester did not use that style of sling mount in the year 1907 on the Model 1894.  When special ordered with a sling, Winchester installed sling eyes and sling hooks.

Thanks Bert appreciate the info as always. Im going to leave the rear one seeing as it has a hole already & I bought it that way. I think at this point I will look for a front sling eye or hook. Can you advise how they are attached.

I am not sure exactly how Winchester attached them to the front barrel band on the SRCs, but I suspect that it was a form of riveting. Factory Sling eyes are relatively rare on a SRC.

Thanks Bert. Think I’m going to fill in the hole now. It’s not a high end collectible but still a shooter. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
