I have 2 problems viewing magazines. When I am logged in and reading, the image goes blank after awhile, and even tho The heading says I am logged in , I have to log out and re-log back in again, but the page I was reading will not come back, but remains blank with a small line on it. I can go to other pages again however. Not a new thing , this was always the case when I was viewing
New problem
The Magazine Home page has 2 search boxes with selection of “ALL” in the small bottom box, that I used to get the complete list , going back to the 1980’s. Now it disregards my “ALL” selection , with earliest available viewing being Spring 2013. This was recently happening on Windows 8 and 8.1 . I have upgraded ? , to Windows 10 with the same result
Thanks
Phil

I’m having a similar issue viewing older magazines. The earliest I can view without a double image on the printed material is summer 2011. I can view everything form the current winter 2017 back to 2011 with no issues. I have gotten the prompt to upgrade the viewer (which I have done several times and rebooted. I never had this issue before with the older flipping page system and was able to view each and every magazine. Any ideas??
Dan
I am having the double image problem with IE but it does not happen when I open in Chrome.

Gentlemen,
I didn’t realize until I read this thread that we don’t have all of the early issues of the magazine posted on the site. We will be adding the pre-1981 issues very soon.
Concerning the glitches, please make sure you are using the latest versions of your web browser; especially Internet Explorer. The one I’m on is:

I had the same issues using Internet Explorer 8 & 10, also with Mozilla Firefox. Switched to Microsoft Edge and no issues whatsoever.
Off topic but got rid of Yahoo email as well and went to Outlook, much better!
For what it is worth I appreciate the WACA Staff and their work in putting the Magazine online for the membership. Lots of good articles, lots of good stuff for research and such. Great job!

After quite a bit of Google searching, and a request from the FlippingBook publishers that we use to process our magazine for the web, it appears that these issues with the display are fairly common across the web. FlippingBook is constantly upgrading and improving their product and we have been applying these upgrades as we continue to use the product. It seems that there are multiple possible causes to these issues.
First, be sure your web browser is upgraded to the latest version.
Check your memory usage. Closing other applications and freeing up memory may improve the response of the program.
If all else fails, close all programs and restart your computer. This can free up a lot of resources that may have been running in the background.
It’s hard to tell what might be causing issues on any given computer without being able to sit down and analyze the problem on that computer.
However, with the exception of the last couple of years, all of the magazines were processed in the same version of FlippingBook Publisher and have not been upgraded or modified in any way, so it wold appear that any newly appearing issues would be the result of changes in individual computer settings.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might be causing and we will continue to strive to provide the best experience we can.

Rob and Mike have added the very early issues to the Publications/Magazines tab up top. There might be a couple of small items to iron out yet, but Members should be able to view (and print) those earliest issues. Thanks Rob and Mike.
