To whom it may concern,

Every time I go to log off the Forum the Swap Meet Forum Topic shows the little Icon as being “Un-Read”.  I can assure you that I have Read every Topic in that Forum. So I don’t understand why it is still giving me a “Un-Read” symbol.  I don’t have this problem with any other Forum Topic.

Sincerely,

Maverick

Maverick,

Those icons don’t disappear until you have bought all of the itemsLaugh

Besides what Bob said

I find they say unread if the system logs me out automatically and I don’t notice little logged out thingy

maddening as I can’t remember my assigned log in code and dumb phone refuses to remember my password for me

(why would I want to log out? I like it here and usually have a window open to this site)

or maybe someone is trying to tell me something?

As I understand it the automatic log out is a function  of the web site. Your computer stores “cookies” that contain the log in info but the cookies have a expiration date. The date is controlled by the web site so if the web designer wants to keep you signed in longer they can increase the expiration date. Many web sites I go to don’t have expiration dates and you stay logged in  forever like online retail sites. Online Banks on the other hand don’t let you store cookies with login information for security reasons and you have to sign in ever time. Cookies store a lot more than log in information.
