It could be made easier to find the Date of Manufacture link instead of going to the home page and then find the link. Maybe added to the resources drop down so it can be accessed directly from any part of the site?

The date of manufacture button is available to the right of most pages on the site.

However, I can see that it is not readily available everywhere, especially on the forum, so I added it as you suggested in the resources menu.
