I cannot access the Winchester calendars online. It says I must be a member or be logged in. I am both, and my account info confirms I’m paid up through 2021. I can access the Magazines no problem, but not the calendars. For this reason, I think it might be a website issue.

I tried it and it worked for me. It asked me to log in again which I did. It doesn’t matter if you are already logged in to the forum. Its the same as viewing the magazine for me I have to log in again.

Well that is odd. I never have to login again to view the magazines, but no matter how many times I login on the Calendar page, I still cannot get access to the calendars. I tried it in both Safari and Chrome. Same thing for either browser. I know I’m logged in …. it says so, and I can access the magazines, yet I just see

This content is available to all logged-in WACA members with membership dues current. Join WACA now for immediate access, or login if you are already a paying member.”

Using the login link in the above message logs me in yet again, but I still cannot access the calendars.

I also see that it says I’ve made only 2 posts in the past 3 or 4 years!

I have no issues getting in.  I use Firefox and if you haven’t used it I would recommend that you take a look.  When you open up Firefox there are NO adds at all.  When you open individual sites they are filled with the normal BS.  You use google when you are in Firefox.

Chuck,

You will get Ads with Firefox, You have to install a Ad blocker to it. Now if you already have a computer setup with the Ad blocker and sync a 2nd computer to it, the 2nd computer will configure Firefox just like your first along with your bookmarks and settings. I really love Firefox for the sync.

Okay, it seems that everyone else has no problem and I have two problems: a) I can’t access the calendars and b) it shows that I have only made less than half a dozen posts. It just occurred to me that, a few weeks back, I had an issue renewing my membership and got in touch with Trish to see what the problem was. She found that I had two accounts, so I asked if she could amalgamate them into just one account. So the paltry number of posts may be due to having the counter re-set, but that still does not explain why it is proving to be impossible for me to access the calendars but the magazines are no problem.

Question: Who do I need to talk to? (I think Trish just handles membership).

Try contacting Mike Hager (scroll all the way to bottom of the page and click on his name next to mine).

Bob, where do your ads show up?  I don’t get any on the home page?  I do get them when I go into an individual site.

Chuck,

I run Adblock Plus all the time so I’m not seeing ads. I would have to turn it off to see where the ads are showing up. I just bought new computers in December and once I downloaded Firefox for the first time and ran it I would see Ads usually along side the web site you viewing. Once I synced Firefox to my old computer they were gone since it installed ABP.

Thanks, Mike. Much appreciated. I’m guessing it has something to do with the amalgamation of the two different accounts (how that happened, I have no idea).
