Hi, new member here.

I guess my go to Winchester book is not 100% accurate so.

I just picked up a 1894 in 32 win special. Serial number 1270620 was told 1943, but I’m suspecting it is closer to 1941 or 2. It is a carbine in 98% condition and it has me excited to find out more.

Welcome to the WACA!

If your “go to Winchester book” was written by George Madis, then Yes, it is not 100% accurate.  Per the factory serialization records, your Model 94 Carbine was manufactured in March, 1941.  If you check the barrel date, it too should be “41”.
