Hi Erin,
They routinely sell for between $10-$20 each on eBay and have been reprinted many times.
I would be interested in your Model 69 manual.

JWA,
These aren’t repops…they are the real deal. Still the same price category?
Erin
Yes, unfortunately the reproductions have kept the price down on the originals since many of the reproductions are not marked as such and are sometimes hard to identify as reprints. Brownell’s was selling them up until a few years ago, exact reprints, unmarked and $9.95 each. I bought a set of the Brownell’s reprints so I wouldn’t get oily fingerprints on my originals. The slight variation of the colors of the covers is how I tell the reprints apart.
Interestingly The Model 77 manual was originally printed in a loose leaf folder format, yours appears to be the standard binding. Is there a print date in/on your 77 book? Do you have a picture which shows the whole front cover? I will take a photo of the loose leaf version.

The 77 manual I have is loose leaf, The pins just don’t go through the front cover. The rivets go through the papers and then through the back of the binding. Anyway, with such little value I will be content letting these sit on the shelf and collect a bit more dust. They don’t cost much to feed.
Best,
Erin

Hi Erin,
Your 77 manual sounds like the correct version. If your 69A Manual is the 1960 version I will give you $30 for it, I have been looking for an original copy of that one to reference in the upcoming book on the Model 69.
Best Regards,
PS, If you want to complete your set you need the books for the Model 50, Model 88, Model 70, Model 42 and Model 12 Featherweight (different book from the standard Model 12).
There are also additional, later manuals for the 9422, 1200, 190, 250/270/290, 101, Super-X Model 1 (and maybe a few more).

Thanks for the offers guys but I think I will hang on to them.
JWA, I would be more than happy to let you borrow the 69 manual for research. Just send it back when you have finished with it. OR send me a copy of your book and keep the manual.
PM me your mailing address and I will send it your way. (it is the 60 edition)
Best,
Erin
Hi Erin,
Thanks for the kind offer, I already have a rough/dirty copy which is readable and a new Brownells reprint. I don’t need it for research but have been debating about whether to include the manual at the end of the book like some other authors have done. I have permission from Olin to do that but haven’t made up my mind since it will add some cost to the book. If I decide to include it I will take you up on your generous offer and borrow it from you to scan since it looks a lot cleaner than mine.

Maybe they could be scanned and available to reference on our site like the collector magazines.
