Good Evening,
I am am realtively new to gun collecting. Currently, I have a 1949 Winchester .22 rifle and a 76 Bicentenial Commemorative 30-30 in my collection. The Winchester Commemorative rifle series has caught my eye and there are some beautiful rifles out there.
I am focusing my search on new in-box issues. My question is, do you believe these will be a good long term investment? I realize the guns are less desirable than the pre 1964 manufactured guns. However, the post 64 Commemoratives seem to be a good buy in the marketplace.
Thank you for your input!
Todd

I can’t say if commemoratives will turn out to be a good long term investment in relation to a dollar value. I think the average selling price right now for any is topped out & if you bought them when they were made you definitely got a return, although it took 30-40yrs. Keep in mind the buyer pool is much smaller imo. These are bling guns, but some people love bling.
I own 5 myself unfired with all the papers & boxes, & bought these particular ones because I liked them for my own personal reasons. I don’t expect to get a return if the day ever comes.
