Winchester 30-30 pre64. I own Serial Number 2599771. The last one made according to the official Winchester record is 2586000.

So how do I go about correcting the official record?
It is new in box and is a thing of beauty without a mark on it. Both the gun and the box bear the same number.
Your own option to determine year of manufacture acknowledges it was made in 1963, yet some sources claim it does not exist.
Any help would be appreciated.

There is no “official record” to correct. Furthermore, any knowledgeable Winchester collector will know that your Model 94 is a Pre-1964. As for the sources that state that serial number 2599771 does not exist… quite obviously, they are not accurate!
