Winchester 30-30 Model 94AE

Hello Gentlemen, I have a Winchester model 94AE serial number 5514406

I believe it was manufactured in 88-89 but would like to confirm

I would also like to know if the rifling is compatible with the newer LEVEREVULITION ammo. (not sure on the spelling)

FYI, this is a short little rifle with a 15.5″ barrel.

Hello Rick,

The reference I have indicates that your Model 94AE was manufactured very late in the year 1988. The barrel is actually 16-inchs long (the minimum legal length). You most likely did not include the portion of the barrel that is threaded into the receiver frame.

Yes, it is perfectly compatible with Hornady’s LEVERevolution 30-30 ammo.

That Hornady ammo shoots nicely in all my modern levers, just hard to find at times…shocker, I know.
