Hi,
In the last two weeks I have received 10 searches from CODY for a 1873 study I am doing. Half do not list a barrel length. Am I correct in that if a barrel length is not listed, it is standard? Was it common to cut barrels to 20 inches in the 1890’s? Did Mr. James Gordon , in his 1873 research, look at the Factory ledgers?
Thanks
Walter

Walter,
You are correct, if the barrel length is not listed its standard. Jim did not letter the guns in his survey, if he thought it was cut or not right he put a ? in the remarks.
