I just found an old RIA Auction that was for a Winchester 02 pistol. There was an acknowledging letter from a George Madis in the auction too.

I have this one in this pic that I had no idea might be worth anything.
If anyone has any knowledge of these, I could use some help finding out more…there isn’t much on the internet about them
Leroy Merz has a couple currently listed for sale on his website. Other than that, I do not know much about them.

I was at the Saraha show in Vagas in june 91, and Leroy had two for sale. He asked me if I had ever seen any In Australia, as he had herd that quiet a few had been sent hear. I told him a friend of mine found 1 some yrs before. so they are around
I was not aware these existed other than a few prototypes – none of which were the same as the next.
The majority of these pistols are not factory manufactured. The 1902, if that is the correct term, never made it to production. I’ve seen a hand full and if you google it you will see more versions. Most are crudely made. In Madis’ book at about page 563 he shows some Winchester pistols that look professionally made but there are no pictures of the 1902..
Here is a picture from an article Herbert Houze did and a document from an unknown source.
