OfflineI’m going to try setting up at a new gun show… sort of like trying a new fishin’ hole. 🙂 The “load in” is Thursday the 26th. Set up is 8am till noon on Friday. I’ve found local restaurants that are highly rated, including a BBQ place! I’m thinking a meet up for BYOB BBQ gathering on Friday night would be great if anyone is interested. The casino hotel rates are pretty high, I ended up renting a cabin on a nearby lake. It was very reasonable… I know TexGunNut plans to attend as well as Elliot, hoping that more of us WACA’s can make it. Cheers!

OfflineI’ll be peddling a few “keepers” I’m no longer interested in and at least one I should have never bought. Too soon old, too late smart, indeed. Driving from my house and taking care of my business at home makes for a very long day so I won’t have a table this time. I hope Elliot isn’t too disappointed, I figure he can cover this little show in about 15 minutes flat. I like this little show, it’s growing a bit every year and Scott works hard to put on a good show. Several TGCA folks will be there, my favorite brick & mortar mom & pop gun shop (Past & Blast, Whitesboro) will be there and I think the show is growing in popularity with the WACA crowd. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends from all over at this show. I’ve been summoned for jury duty next week but I’m pretty certain I will be one of the first dismissed and if I’m wrong I know most judges resent working Friday after noon. Maybe they will head to Durant after tidying up things at the office.
I can see a certain youngster needs a little schooling in the art of optimizing PTO time but I pretty much sucked at it myself. I still think PTO is a gearbox between a transmission or engine and a pump or some other gadget. I’ve ridden shotgun with a certain retired narcotics officer, he has some moves that would scare a NASCAR driver!
