I have been researching the Winchester period 1950-1980 period for the past 16 years trying to determine the enfineers who were responible for sesigning the Model 1200, 1400 and the Super X Model 1 shotguns. If I could find Patents that woulld solve my problem, but I do have a good list of people who were involved. I have photos of the Super X engineers from a video, but have not been able to find anyone to identify them – but I think RL Brown was the Team Leader.
Wilson RL- “Winchester An Americam Legend” P280 the attached photo, and shows Ted Hazelwood and Tom Henshaw but does not identify the rest. I was wondering if anyone else can identify them> Some possibilities are: T. R. Armstrong, J. P. Jarvis, W. A. Klingele, L. L. Larson, D. R. Payton, R. M. Pelton, M. Reiss,. F. Steck, C. W. Taylor, R. L. Brown and Lee Harris.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Keith, I can tell you that Marsh Williams was an important design engineer for Winchester in the early Nineteen Fifties, responsible for the Model 50 shotgun and several other model guns that went into production during the time period with which you are concerned.
There is a chapter in the Houze history about this period that identifies some of the design engineers. I believe Harry Sefried was one and Larson another. Bill Roemer may still have been working during the early Fifties.
