I got it Wincacher! I looked online at this link ( http://gigconceptsinc.com/files/Olin2.pdf ) and found that the code translates to August of 1961. Your memory is great!!!!!! Thanks again.

The ammo in question was manufactured on August 3, 1949, Lot # 12.

Thanks for the correction! That date works okay as well in that it was made prior to the mid-60s.
