Just curious who the WACA members here are that attend the Cody show or other WACA gun shows.

Cody is pretty much the only one I seem to be making anymore.  Been to Cody each year since 1996 after retiring.  Tim

I’ve been going to Cody about 10 years now, not nearly as long as some of the veterans like Mr. Tomlinson, but its become a permanent event on my calendar every year. Of course, its a fairly short drive over there for me. Its a fantastic show that feels like a family event. Always glad to see Tim, Jeff, Mark & Mark, Bert, Rick, Kirk and quite few others I see on this forum. Met Chuck this past year for the first time, but I’ve yet to run into Harry. I guess I need to make that a goal if we all get there next year.

Yes that would be awesome Gary to meet up and put a face to everyone. Hoping to plan my trip to Calgary to see my son during the Cody show dates in the next two years.

While I have not been to a gun show in almost 20-months now, the WACA show in Cody is always on my schedule, as was the old Big Reno Show.  As I get close to retiring for the second time, I am planning to put the Denver show on my list and at lest one of the Tulsa shows.

Nice pic Gary & nice display of 30” 94’s. From the name tag I’m assuming that’s you on the far right. I don’t know the others.

I see WACA members at all of the major shows.  The Club used to come to the Reno winter show but don’t seem to want to come anymore?  The Cody Museum lists the shows that they will attend.  You can meet Jessi.

Bert, the Old Reno Show still exists.  When they are able to have a show it will be at the Nugget Casino in Sparks.  Another promoter, Scott, tried to do Reno too and in fact had Lou’s date at one point.  I don’t think Scott is coming back to Reno.   Sparks is right next to Reno and the Casino can’t be more that a few miles from where it had always been before moving to the convention center.

I like Denver and Reno even more that Vegas.  Denver or Cody are about 15 hour drives. Reno is 8 hrs. and Vegas is 4 hrs.  If I’m not traveling with a dealer I often fly to Cody, Denver and Reno especially when I was working.

My wife Georgia, former Executive Secretary of WACA, and I have attended every Cody show since we returned to the States from Australia in 1996.  Still do Reno once or twice a year and until recently, Colorado Gun Collectors show in Denver.  Been to Tulsa three times but it is a long way from Central Oregon!

Rick you are one of the guys I have seen many times over the years.  We have never done business together though.  As a collector I’m not know to many. The table I was sitting at in Cody was right straight across from you.

I’ve missed the last few Cody shows after making my first two. No promises but I really want to be there this year!

Ya Jeremy it’s a bit of a task for some of the eastern Canada members to attend the Cody show when the border is open & a bigger task to buy something. As you said before awesome show & event so hope to get there sooner than later.

I usually attend the OGCA WACA show in Ohio every September.  Hopefully can get to Cody some day, but it’s a long way from Western, PA.

The eastern show in MA would’ve been a 8hr drive for me but well worth it. Too bad that event got cancelled.
