I just got back from Tulsa, had a great Veterans Day. It was heart warming to see Veterans walk threw the show with their hats on and a smile. You have every right to be proud of what you did! Thank you all. T/R

I don’t normally wear hats but recently I pulled out one of my GI issued hats and took some of the stuff off my Class A’s. I wore it to the gun shop on Saturday. Most of my friends served as did 4 of my 5 brothers. 2 of us in the Army, 2 in the Navy and 1 in the Air Force. All my brothers came home OK. One of my friends spent 8 months in the hospital in Hawaii before he got to come home. 1 guy from high school did not make it back from Viet Nam.

Small world, I lived on-base with the USAFSS 6913th in Bremerhaven, Germany from 1964-1967. My Dad served, I was just an Air Force Brat.
Here is Dad on the flight line, I was probably not supposed to take pictures of the RF101C Voodoo reconnaissance package at the time but I thought the camera housing on the nose was cool. And those guys flew those RF101C missions UNARMED since the armament was removed for the cameras.
Happy (belated) Veterans Day to all! Every day should be “Veterans” day!
