OfflineSunday shutdown seemed pretty typical. I think the way to capitalize on Sunday is, stay late, have a handful of inexpensive guns and you will have most of the last-minute shoppers all to your own. Seems like most of the late afternoon shoppers are not collectors or serious gun folk, mostly the entry level or new hunter for the season folks. We don’t do that, the guy I hang with is mostly an old-school wood and blue guy, not what the last-minute folks want.

OfflineKeeping tables covered late in the show is a challenge for show organizers. No easy answers. TGCA has a “Pays to Stay” program that seems to be working but it’s a work in progress. If a table holder doesn’t think it’s worth his while to stick around there’s not much the organizers can do about it. I’ve had a few last minute sales. I’ve also talked myself into a gun late in the show and walked over after the table holder had packed it away. I kept walking.

OfflineI found a US Krag late on Sunday, in a darker end cap, guy had a big military display. Been looking for a nice, not overpriced, Springfield Krag for a few years….it pays to stay and check every corner!
This one is a newer one, which is fine by me, just needed one to fill out my one-of-each US military rifles lineup….all original and decent condition.
