I checked with my shipping place to get what shipping cost would be and they said you can’t insure international packages. That makes send it very risky.

The buyer will have to take the risk Bob if they still want the sights. Get it in writing they agree. Only the shipper can file a claim in Canada but the buyer needs to know if it goes missing, it’s not on you. In Canada you can’t file a claim for damaged goods. They will say they’re not responsible for packaging. They only deal with missing packages.
Its a shipping store that does all the shippers, UPS, Fedex, DHL, Speedee, USPS and common carrier. I think we got this figured out.

My experience is in a different area but I’ve never had an issue with international shipments, for some reason. Domestic is another matter and quite frankly current circumstances would make me very wary of overseas shipments. I have some vendors who won’t even venture a guess when pressed for delivery dates on merchandise currently sitting on boats. That said I’d ship USPS to Canada or Australia without hesitation.

I’m going to ship it to a US address and the buyer will take care of it from there. The biggest hurdle is the insurance and the paperwork involved with customs.
