Baby is my girlfriend, she’s the best. We are on our way to the gun museum at bass pro in Springfield mo. Plus there’s a gun show there tomorrow. Never been too the Springfield gun show before. It’s about 3 and a half hours from home. We go to all the gun shows within 2 hours of the house. See the same people and guns over and over. I really don’t see many antique Winchester rifles at the local st.louis area gun shows, or their beat to death and way over priced. But we usually bring something home. Usually a pistol. Couple of weeks ago it was a iver johnson 32 1898 in real good condition and a glock 17 that I couldn’t pass on because of the price. Show before that a beautiful 1928 colt police positive 38. Special in high condition. With any luck I’ll find a nice Winchester model 1894 or a 1892 or model 1905, 1907 or 1910.

I thought this story was going to end with “Baby is my Winchester lever action rifle. She’s a little old for me, but I love her anyways.” Laugh

That museum at the Bass Pro home base is pretty good. Don’t skip the Native American stuff as well, very cool.

Sounds like Baby is a keeper; goes to gun shows and lets you bring one home now and then. Maybe you’ll find a nice Winchester at the show but sometimes the show is all about the eye candy. Safe travels!

Baby is definitely a keeper. One time a few years ago at a gun show she made me buy a Browning bl-22 deluxe with gold inlay. Not sure if inlay is factory but it was well done and a popular upgrade in the 80s. Her bl was born in 1986. It appears unfired. Baby loves double duceses. She said it was too pretty too shoot.

…and just to clarify, he means guns, not another girlfriend. This has been “relationship tips with JP,” signing off.

Baby and I are east bound and down on our way home from the Springfield mo. Gun show. No Winchester but today. We did however get these. Iver johnson model 55 target with holster $160…. and a second model smith wesson 32 break top with rare bone grips. $100…17680870689573832613631476135463.jpgImage Enlarger

I was interested in this 94 mfg.1909 30 wcf. Notice the forearm cap. Also had a not so great hole in the butt stock. The 94 is about in the middle of rack.20260110_121812.jpgImage Enlarger

My baby used to go to guns shows but that ended years ago.  Unless we go to show at a casino where she can hang out with friends and gamble.

Now that we are home and got a better look at the little s&w. It’s definitely a 4th. Model, s/n 117433. And I’m pretty sure the grips are not factory. However, for what ever reason I can’t help myself, if you put one of these in front of me for  $100 I’m a buyer. First thing baby and I did when we got home was load up the iver johnson walk out on the deck and unload it. Even though it was dark outside I could see the smile on baby’s face. I’m pretty sure the grandson and baby will be killing some soda cans tomorrow. It was the perfect overnight trip. We got to go to gun museum at bass pro last night, had a nice dinner and the gun show today was pretty good. Plus baby seems to get a lot of attention from  most of the old boys trying to sell their guns to her, sometimes it’s like they don’t even see me. All kidding aside she really is my best friend. Side note, I did make what I thought was a fare offer on a model 8 remington in pretty good condition. Also seen this Winchester 20260110_135528.jpgImage Enlarger
