I’ll be driving from the Durango, CO area to Phoenix, AZ and then west to Laughlin, NV.  I could go via Gallup or the Flagstaff route.  If you know of any gun (Winchester) shops or museums that I should not miss, please share.  I’m also into the old west and Pleistocene mega-fauna.  Thanks for any tips.

If you go through Gallup and get on 40 you can go to the Petrified Forest.  The area around and south of Flagstaff is nice.  Take 89A south to Sedona.   But since you said Phoenix you will end of south of Laughlin.  If not for Phoenix I would have said to go to Prescott.  If the weather is bad be prepared.
