A Model 1886 with a special ordered stock is on GB right now…https://www.gunbroker.com/item/801832433

The Cody letter provides 2 different measurements for the Drop: 2 1/8″ and 1 3/4 “…my question is to what do these 2 measurements apply?  For stocks with a special drop, I’ve only seen Cody letters with a single measurement, not two…so how should one think about this?

Drop at heel (1st measurement) & drop at comb is my interpretation.  If this was a special order, I’d guess these were specified by customer.
