Proof stamps on my 1892 (1905) caliber.25-20

There are 3 very small proof stamps on my rifle. One stamp on the barrel, one on the receiver and one on top of bolt. Stamp on barrel includes the number 25. The proof marks consist of a lion up on it’s back legs viewed from it’s right side. The second stamp proof just under each lion is difficult to determine what it is. I believe the proofs are of British origin. They are so small that it will be difficult to photograph unless by professional photographer.

There is a good list of different country’s proof marks if you Google “Firearms proof marks”.  Hope this helps.  RDB
