In general, how much does it impact the value of an early gun to have an R&R on the factory letter and proof marks on the barrel and receiver? The gun I am looking at was manufactured in 1896. It is in very good condition, but was apparently refinished by Winchester in 1913 and proof marks applied.
Mark,
What will hurt it more is the refinish.
