Can anyone confirm production dates for 32 WS. I read the cartridge was introduced in Oct 1901 & guns were produced starting 1902 but would like Bert or someone to confirm & don’t know if they were available in both carbine & rifle.

RC,
Winchester manufactured the first commercial sale Model 1894 Sporting Rifle (S/N 107731) in 1901. It was received in the warehouse on 10/5/1901, and it shipped on 10/16/1901. The first Carbine was S/N 142899, received in warehouse 5/10/1902, shipped 5/12/1902. Winchester did not add the 32 WS caliber to their catalog until June 1902.
