Have been trying to post pictures, have read the tutorial, and can not seem to make it work. Do I need some other access or….?

You cannot post pics as a guest, you must be a WACA member. You can put them on a host site and add the link to them though as a workaround. In some threads, someone will usually volunteer to post them for you too.
