Hello, have an 1894 that has the number 26 stamped on the trigger guard. I can’t find any info on what that number means on the internet, anyone know?

32-40 caliber, 20 ” bbl

serial #69XXXX

I can’t figure out how to add a photo just yet 🙂

Thank you for any info.

The number you found has no meaning, it is simply an inspector’s stamp. As a Guest on the WACA website, you cannot directly attach pictures to a post. You can post a URL link to pictures on a photo host website, or send them to me.
