Ron from Southwest Louisiana. Didn’t see a new members section so I thought I’d make my first post here… I’m a moderator on the Dan Wesson Forums and we always encourage an introduction post… and user-id is rwsem on several other forums as well…
Kind of an accumulator right now, not a full fledge collection of any kind. I have managed to ‘collect’ all the XTR big bore calibers but that’s about it. Now I’m just picking up things that interest me and are not necessarily collector grade- heck, they may not even be all correct; I’m still learning. Anyway, that’s it.
In the stable:
94 AE XTR Big Bores in 307, 356, and 375/ 94AE in 7-30 Waters/ 94 in .32 Special/ 1894 SRC in 25-35/ 1894 in 32-40 (currently looking at 38-55) / 9422 XTR/ and finally 1892 in 44-40

Welcome Ron!
You are correct, we do not specifically have a new member section, most post their intros either here or more frequently in the “What’s New” category, either location is ok and will be seen.
It is always great to get a new member with collector AND forum experience. It sounds like you have a good start with your Winchester’s.
This is a great forum for the detailed minutia we collectors seek as there are some very helpful members here willing to share their knowledge no matter which direction your Winchester collection takes you.
Again, welcome and enjoy your Winchesters!

Welcome to WACA Ron.
You’ll find all sorts of valuable information about old and new Winchesters here, whatever your interests may be. Lots of it is knowledge that is hard to find anywhere else. Also, you’ll find that there is always someone here willing to help when you are searching for some Winchester information.

Thanks for the welcome. I’ve lurked as a guest for a few months and with my Christmas money purchased this membership and will soon join the Cody Museum ranks as well. I am an avid Dan Wesson revolver collector, but as it has become increasing difficult to find willing sellers for the few more I need, my interest drifted towards the levers. This forum appealed to me because it’s very similar to the DWF; a repository for correct and obscure information. The DW records were all turned over to the BATFE and you can’t get any information from them regarding serial numbers by year, configurations, etc…

Welcome, Ron! I’ve only been getting a bit more serious about collecting Winchesters for a few years, been accumulating them for quite some time. Lots of good info here and in the back issues of the magazine. Magazine is awesome, written by members with great articles and awesome pics. I can recommend joining the CFM as well; great place to visit for a couple of days. A membership includes serial number searches and letters, depending on the package. Great place to help support as well.
