New guy here. Name is Dalton. Looking forward to reading all the posts and creating a few of my own.
Little bit about myself:
I am 27 years old and have been collecting guns since I have been 18.
I am a 4th generation collector (great grandpa, grandpa, my father, me). It seems to have gotten more serious as it went!
I cut my teeth on model 12s, but as of lately, the lever guns have been drawing me in.
I buy guns to shoot and have fun with, but try to stay away from ones that have been altered in anyway.
Just recently picked up a pretty rare 1873 and that is what prompted me to join. Hoping to find some more info about it from you fine folks. Will post pics and details in a separate post.
Thanks!

Welcome, Dalton. Makes my day to see a man your age who appreciates old Winchesters! Looking forward to reading your take on our hobby and I hope you take better pics than I do. I love pics of nice old Winchesters, especially honest old guns.
Glad to see you like Model 12’s, I’d like to see more about them on our forum. You didn’t mention .22’s. Avoid them at all costs! They are hyper-addictive and there is no known cure. 😉

I plan on making a separate post here soon about it. Got some pictures last night. Just need to figure out how to get them onto here. Got the serial number search back on Tuesday and am quite certain I have a very unique rifle.
Thanks!

I love the honest old guns! They make great shooters and are ones you aren’t scared of hunting with or shooting! I own my fair share of 22s haha, a few odd ones as well. Will certainly be making some posts about my guns as I get more familiar with the forum. Im glad there isnt a cure!
