Scott Tarbell’s New Frontier Gun Show is February 14, 15, 16 at Choctaw Casino in Durant, OK. I’ll be there trying to thin the herd a bit. I believe the Goles will be there with an impressive offering of memorabilia along with a growing number of bit and spur collectors. 426crown will be there and he has been known to bring some awesome eye candy. If you can make it stop by and visit a spell, my usual suspects are out of the country or rehabbing.

I’ve always liked Scott’s shows. He’s a conscientious promoter. I’ve attended his Cheyenne & Reno shows… wish Reno could have worked out better. Some day, when the airlines get their schedules having afternoon return flights later on Saturdays to my neck of the woods, I’ll be able to attend.

Hope you can make it someday, I like the smaller shows. I’m glad the Durant Show is in my back yard because the hotel prices were pretty steep last year due to a big name music act at the casino. I like gun shows, I enjoy them even more when I sleep in my own bed! Scott always brings some interesting goodies to the TGCA shows. The spring and fall shows will be in Denton next few years.

Durant show was apparently a buyers’ market and of course I was selling. My neighbor made some good buys on Colt stuff. We recruited four new TGCA members and sold a table for our April show in Denton, TX. I don’t think I did any good recruiting WACA members but someone picked up an application while I wasn’t looking. Scott runs a great little show, lots of decent Winchesters and a very friendly atmosphere.
