There is a Mod. 1885 lo-wall on Guns International ad#101382419 from Haiglers Volcanic I’m just wanting to get some expert opinion on the finish, case colors , is it original or a refinish. I haven’t spoke with the seller. I am looking for one of these.

Hard to find 32 short rimfire ammo.
Well, if you don’t mind paying $1 or more per round… But I doubt anyone will be buying it for the purpose of shooting. Even so, .32RF or .25RF is considered a negative to the value of any gun, whether it’s going to be shot or not.
I do, however, like the “archaic look” of these early LWs with the paneled sides & high breech-blocks.

The case color finish is correct, and I agree that it must have had a tang sight on it for most of its life, otherwise the case color on the upper tang would not be so bright (it would look more like the lower tang). The price tag on that rifle is at least $900 too high.

OK and thanks Bert, idid read the estimated red book value, Although I haven’t seen any others in similar cond. in the $1,500.00 range. I would gladly pay $2,000.00 for a better one and the cal. is not important.

Wait around for a couple of months, then if no sucker has stepped up to the plate, make the seller an offer. It’s nothing to see guns languish for 6 mos, even a yr, on all these on-line sites. (Which goes to show the usual laws of supply & demand simply don’t apply in the gun trading racket.)
