I have a model 71 deluxe pre war that has a front sling as part of the fore end cap that is missing. Original part is dove tailed into cap. The sling q d swivel with dove tailed is missing and I am trying to locate one. 
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My name is Charles Robbins email is [email protected]

It’s certainly possible to repair that part but I think the easiest thing to do is find a good replacement forend cap.  While not common, they do show up occasionally.   

If you want to repair the existing cap, I think I have a damaged forend cap with the swivel attached.  I’ll see if I can find it.
