Hey guys,
I just acquired a 1973 Winchester 9422m in .22 WMR, and noticed something rather peculiar. The serial number on the receiver and the frame are different….by two numbers (FXXX06, and FXXX08). I’m curious if this may be a misprint from the factory, a lucky repair, or something more mundane. Any info you could give me would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Brandon
Someone screwed up. Not a factory mistake but most likely the seller. Maybe putting together two halves to make a better looking example. Does nothing for you, actually hurts value a bunch.
