Does anyone recognize these stamped markings on a M 1876 carbine S/N 14622 , cal. 45/60 ? SMG on barrel and stock. Winchester T.E. Hall letter confirms: carbine, caliber, and ship date. “RML” carved into stock. Thanks for any help. Doug Saleen # 66338. Will attempt pictures.

Most likely explanation is these were the initials of previous owners. Can’t make out anything in the picture of the barrel below the front sight.
