I like the rifle and may buy it. Just wondering how much the D&T for the Lyman receiver sight would affect the value.
Serial 1047XXX, .30WCF, long forend w/carbine buttplate, may be a SRC with a filler screw. I’d say between 70 & 80% condition, he seems to be stuck on $800, looking for a little leverage to get the price down. I also don’t mind shooting receiver sights, so that isn’t a loss.
Thanks for your opinions.
I know it is impossible to judge condition without pics, I’d just like your thoughts on the value being harmed by the D&T. I understand it was not done in the factory in 1928. The blank is a Williams in the rear sight dovetail, if that helps to figure out when it was done, possibly.
I won’t be able to see the rifle again till next weekend at the earliest.
