I found this 1895 Carbine many years ago.  I liked the Lyman side sight, no provision for the barrel sight and to my suprise it had the cleaning tool in the butt stock. It lacks high condition, but being a 30 GOV’T ’06 with a very good bore I knew it was shootable.  After checking the 1916 Winchester Catalog, I found that the 1906 150 grain cartridge listed at 2,700 F.P.S.  I have only shot military surplus ammunition and hand loads through it. Thanks for looking.  RDB

What I can see of the wood looks exceptional, for a carbine.  I wouldn’t want any better cond than that for a gun I intended to shoot.

I really like it Roger. It doesn’t letter but no cut out in the upper forestock wood for rear barrel sight tells me factory original climbin Lyman 21. Good honest wear. I’m jealous of this one!
