Was going through some old photo albums, and found some picks of my trip to the US in 91. we were at the Sahara gun show and the Woods collection was on display. Man was that collection the best of the best.Have often wondered where it all ended up, and has any of it resurfaced.
We were very fortunate to have our photo taken behind the prize piece, Cased 76.

That is correct. Butterfield’s in San Francisco, 10/22/91. I bought my first big money Winchester from that collection – a 28″ barrel Model 1876 in 40-60 cal. and in pristine original condition.

I have noticed the 38cal winchester73 1 of 1000 from the woods collection is coming up in the may RIC Auction, sold in 91 for a little over 100k.
its now got an eimated range of 180k to 300k.
anyone know where the cased 76 i was photographed with is now
