I am looking to see when the 33wcf was introduced. I know 1902 is the year, looking for the month. I also am looking to date an 1886 in 33, serial number 128934. Letter for it does not list application date just warehouse date. hoping Bert might pick up on this.

Per John Madl’s research, serial number 125403 and 125406 were received in the warehouse on April 3rd, 1902 and they are the earliest known in 33 WCF.  There are rifles with lower serial numbers that letter as 33 WCF, but they were all received in the warehouse after April 3rd, 1902.

There are no PR records after serial number 120795 (December 26th, 1899).  For serial numbers 120796 – 145900 the only dates available are the Received in warehouse and Shipped (sold) dates.  What is the Received in warehouse date for S/N 128934 ?

Model 1886 with s/n 125363 was assembled until sometime after April 3rd, 1902.  Winchester did not assemble the serial numbered receiver frames in numerical order.  If you want to know the exact date it was received in the warehouse, contact the CFM records office and obtain a factory letter.
