Looking for any info I can get on an 1895 that was left to a friend of mine. All I have at the moment is a few pics and lots of questions. I just can’t seem to come across another 1895 that has this high grade wood? The rifle itself is not a reproduction but that’s not to say that the wood wasn’t added later?
thank you for any and all help. Hope to have SN soon and maybe that would shed some light on it

Seems to me several members have recently posted photos of vintage M1895’s with fancy wood.
