My grandfather made this before he passed, he was a Navy Vet and master carpenter. He took the shell casing and turned it into a pen while turning multiple parts of an epoxy pour on a lathe for the rest of the pen. It’s a great conversation peace and I’d really like to know the caliber. The casing is bigger then a 50BMG head says WWC 13 I’m assuming this is Winchester cartridge Company and the year 2013 but I still don’t know the size of the round

Next largest US military round up from .50 is 20mm.

Both of those calibers seem way too large for a pen, I would think that the .308 or .300 Win Mag would be the appropriate size for a pen.
Dimensions of the casing would help solve the question.
