When I enter a subject in the forum search I get thousands of results containing every individual word in my search subject matter. With the advanced feature I get 0 results. Seems there should be a happy medium between all and none. Will someone advise on the proper use of this feature?
Regards, Darrin
When you use the advanced search click the box for “Match all words” by default the “Match any word” is marked.

“Match the phrase” I think is most effective, if the search is more than one word.
That will match the word in the order entered all next to each other were the “match all the words” will find all the words where ever they are in the post. Each has its advantages.

As much as I dislike Google I’ve learned a Google search will generally bring me back here to the topic I’m looking for.

Switched long ago to Duck Duck, as I can’t bear to see the almost inevitable political “message” implied in the Google “cartoon.” Checked to see if there’s one today, & yes, of course.
I use Duck Duck as well

Thanks guys, I had resorted to alternative search engine as well, however I do on occasion still try waca search. Beyond me how any of it ever works. I have also noticed some of the gun site searches are weak and often get better results with google.Darrin
Wish I could be of more help, Darrin. On a good day I can spell IT but most days I truly suck at it.
