OfflineHe’s obviously one of GI’s big shots. Has had a Krag rifle I’m interested in (except for the price) listed for at least six months…not that guns remaining unsold for that long are at all unusual on GI or GB; I’d almost say that’s the rule, rather than the exception. Finally asked him if he’d reconsider his price ($1500, & gun is missing rear sight). No response.

OnlineClarence,
I have not bought a Winchester (or other firearm) from him, but I have spoken with him in person on several occasions (at Cody shows). He seems to be a reasonable person. Have you tried contacting him directly – https://gen2.joesalter.com/

Have bought several guns from him. Always lowers the price when asked. Never had any problems with this gentleman. Big Larry
Thanks, Larry, hope this one is no exception, esp. as it requires the buyer to find the sight. Perhaps the national panic has slowed down his response.

OfflineI purchased a Model 53 from him a few years back. No issues at all. They plethora of photos that accompanied the rifles he was selling pretty much guaranteed that there were no surprises. I don’t know if he still provides an abundance of photos but if he does, I very much appreciated that in a seller.
