I know it’s a Colt and not a Winchester.  But wow – the high roller action is intense.  As is the final price:

The 1907 pistol was a transitional step between the 1905, first production 45 semi auto, and the 1911.  The Military was not happy with the 1905 so it was modified to become the 1907.  Same with the 1907, it was modified to become the 1909.  Finally the 1911.  The 1907 and 09 are 2 of the hardest to find if you collect the early semi autos.  1900 to 1911.
