Wow, did the money show up for his auction. It looks like investor’s like old western collectibles, history, and guns. The cowboy, Indian, and Cavalry collectibles blew past estimates with condition secondary to history. T/R

No doubt.  But has there been any major auction recently when the same wasn’t true?  No shortage of folks living large.

I went to a 500 table gun show last weekend, probably the best in our state, but that’s Wisconsin. The show was packed, but it was all about ammo. My collector friends talked about selling stocks and putting the money in guns. They were talking “investment”. Investors buying collectables will explain the ridiculous prices at the auction houses. Brian Lebel sells a lot of collectable history stuff with the guns and it draws money. T/R
